Shared Experience
While Tuscany is often associated with exceptional wines, it is also renowned for its truffles

A small-group (max 8) truffle hunt through Tuscan woods, followed by a Chianti Classico winery visit and a multi-course truffle lunch paired with wine.
Take part in a once-in-a-lifetime experience: follow a truffle-hunting dog as it hurries through the woods of Tuscany, sniffing out hidden treasures beneath the forest floor.
Tuscany is often associated with exceptional wines, but it's equally renowned for its truffles — it may come as a surprise that San Miniato produces some of the world's most precious white truffles. After the hunt, make your way through the scenic Tuscan landscape into the Chianti region for a guided tasting at an organic winery, sampling Chianti, Chianti Classico, Riserva and Super Tuscan wines alongside a multi-course lunch built around your freshly hunted truffles.
Board your comfortable, air-conditioned minivan in Florence with an expert English-speaking sommelier guide, in a small group of up to 8 people.
Follow a professional truffle hunter and her Lagotto Romagnolo dog through the Tuscan woods near San Miniato — source of nearly 80% of the world's prized white truffles.
Enjoy a delightful multi-course lunch built around the truffles you just discovered.
Travel through the scenic Tuscan landscape into Chianti for a guided tasting at an organic estate — Chianti, Chianti Classico, Riserva and Super Tuscan wines — plus an extra-virgin olive oil tasting session, before returning to Florence.
Cancellation terms (before the tour's start date):
Our tours depart from Florence at the meeting point on Lungarno Cellini. From there, the minivan journey to the truffle hunting area in the Tuscan countryside takes approximately one hour each way.
A trained dog (traditionally a Lagotto Romagnolo) sniffs out the truffle's scent underground. The hunter shows you where to dig carefully, and you'll see and smell a fresh truffle the moment it comes out of the ground.
Truffle hunting takes place outdoors, and our tours operate in both sunshine and rain. A little rain is part of the authentic truffle hunting experience and does not normally affect the tour.
In case of wet or muddy conditions, we provide rubber boots for walking in the woods. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and bringing a waterproof jacket or raincoat.
Only in the event of severe weather conditions that could make the experience unsafe may the itinerary be modified or the activity rescheduled.

“We had the best time! Francesca was the best host. The property and house is stunning. She was very knowledgeable and we learned so much about truffles. We found quite a few black truffles. After hunting on their family's beautiful property we had an amazing truffle inspired meal her family prepared. Levante was our truffle hunting dog. He is very young, but has been trained well and he did an amazing job. We sampled the family wine and olive oil, enjoyed the food, and did a little shopping in their gift shop. I would highly recommend this tour. The tour started with Vittorio picking us up in Florence and driving us to the family farm.”
